Rules for Entry
- Entries are open to all
- Children's section - will in most cases be divided into 2 sections - age 8 and under, and age 9 to 16 Entries restricted to items made, collected or grown by children , without adult help, excepting necessary safety supervision.
- No person to enter more than one exhibit in a class.
- Each exhibit to be in one name only.
- Not more than one person to show in the same class from the same garden.
- All exhibits in the Flower, Fruit & Vegetable Classes must have been grown by the entrant. This does not apply to Floral Art Exhibits.
- Pot plants and Bonsai should have been owned 3 months by the exhibitor preferably from seed or cutting. The same pot plant must not be shown in 2 consecutive shows
- Entry Fees: Members - 20p, Non-Members 30p, per class. Children's classes - free entry.
- Entry forms to be with the Show Secretary BY 9pm THURSDAY, PRIOR TO THE SHOW. Late entries may be accepted up to 9pm on the eve of the Show on payment of DOUBLE FEES, provided sufficient space is available.
- Class Cards will be provided on the day of the show.
- Entrants must provide their own plates, vases etc.
- The Hall will open for staging from 8am until 10.15am on the day of the Show.
- All trophies in this schedule are perpetual
- The decision of the Judges shall be final on the respective merits of the exhibits
- The Committee reserves the right to inspect any Exhibitor's garden.
- The Committee has the power to decide any matter not covered by the above regulations
- Where both metric & imperial measures are used, the metric is definitive, the imperial measurement is only approximate for guidance
Visitors to the Shows are often interested to know the name of a particular exhibit. We would be grateful if Exhibitors would name the variety, if this is known, on the Show Card when staging their exhibit.
